American Asian Containment

The main point of this article is to make the point that we are containing China and explain how we as America control the world.  It explains how we are keeping from going to war with China by making truces with other countries.  We are making sure that China being a bully lately doesn't go to far later.  We just want to trade with them without problems.  If they do anything we don't like we can get our stuff from India and other countries.  They are done when we aren't there to "run China's economy".  We don't want to start a cold or hot war with China.

The title of the article is "Containment- Lite".  We are kind of containing China, but we are taking less extreme measures than a cold war.  We are keeping them at peace with our treaties.  We are also getting ready for if China "goes off the deep end".  We are just trying not to use military threats yet.

I agree with the author completely on that the tactics will keep us in control and China where they belong, a communist country that does what we tell them.  Containment is definitely what is coming.  We haven't pulled out our "big American guns" yet and we are trying to make it so we don't have to, so no one gets hurt.  If we went to war with China it would be the literal end of the world.  We are keeping China in check.

"Do You Believe the Hype?" Article Blog

I believe the hype.  We should be where these Indians are, running their cellphone banking system.  If we want to make it in the world of globalization we have to be thinking and coming up with these simple but great ideas.  People know they want thing like this unique business to come their way, but people don't take time to think about it or make it happen.  The bottom line is we need to start making things happen.  India definitely effects us in the US in this time and day of globalization.  India effects us because our credit card companies are run over there and we have to keep up with them in this race of globalization.  India also effects us because our businesses, which are our money are moving there and something needs to done about this situation.  The government has to start making the right moves to fix our economy and make us a working, money making country again.

Companies Moving Overseas

I have researched for a list of companies that have moved overseas and one big thing that I noticed was that they moved overseas when they were not doing well or when business started to go downhill along with their money.  The companies are going overseas because it cheaper to operate there.  Because the value of our dollar has become low people are needing more money.  When the companies go overseas they don't need to pay overseas employees as much.  The employees overseas will work for a lot more because money in their countries is worth a lot more, therefor the companies don't need to pay out as  much.  This leaves them money to function and thrive.  There have also been cases where companies get a bad reputation and people will not buy from them.  Because of this situation they can move overseas and change their name so that people will buy from them.    To sum it up most companies move overseas because it is cheaper, there are more people to work for them, and there may be a reputation issue.

Chinese vs. Indian Populations

1.  Not everyone cares about the populations in India and China because what happens in Asia effects everybody as a global community even though they may not be effected directly.  A lot of governments care and other countries care because if a country becomes overpopulated they might need to take over other countries for more space and less population density.   When the populations go too high governments may take immoral actions like China when they made a law that only one child is allowed.  It is also by the immoral means of using other people to have sons and selling brides in India that the population is growing.  Populations also effect pollution in our air and immigration.  I care and everyone should care for all of these reasons.

2.  It is wrong and liberal for governments to regulate how many children families have, but yes they can suggest and advise families not to have too many children.  It is wrong to tell families what to do with their lives.  It takes away freedoms we should have.  It is extremely communist, socialist and liberal to regulate people's relationships and personal lives.  People who opt to do this know it is wrong and I know this because liberals in the US now want to be called "progressives" since being liberal is labeled as doing things like this.

Blog Post #4

The article was about how the media “downplays the real threats” in the Middle East when it comes to the Israeli-Arab conflict.  The article was more pro-Israeli than pro-Palestinian.  It states that Israel is actually trying to make peace and that news sources are not getting enough different sources to state a position on the issues.  There are also other threats involved in the issue that the media doesn’t express enough.  Palestinians are not necessarily the most anti-terrorist group of people.  They are teamed up with a lot of the Arab terrorist and their countries like Iran.  Iranian, Palestinian, and other terrorist have weapons-caches, and bases in areas like the Gaza Strip and West Bank.  This is where many attacks on Israel are made from.  If these terrorist are not stopped than the terrorist will not only kill Israelis but may threaten the rest of the world.  There isn’t really a lot of information missing in this article since it makes statements from both sides of the Israeli- Arab conflict.  The one thing that it is missing is the details of the occupation of the territories where the Palestine.  The article doesn’t mention much about the level of oppression on the Palestinians that pro- Palestinian articles show.
